Co-Parenting Counseling in Boca Raton After a High-Conflict Divorce or Separation
The marriage ended, but the conflict didn’t. Every exchange, text and school event can turn into a battle, and your children feel it. You don’t have to like your co-parent to raise your children well together. You do need a better system.
Your children don’t need you to be friends
Research is clear that what harms children after divorce is not the divorce itself. It is ongoing conflict between their parents, and being caught in the middle of it.
Co-parenting counseling focuses on one goal: lowering the conflict your children live with. We don’t relitigate the marriage. We build the structure and skills that let two very different households work for the children who move between them.
Joint or individual sessions
Many parents meet together once the process feels safe. When conflict is too high to share a room, we can begin with individual sessions or work with one parent alone. One steady parent can change the temperature of the whole system.
Working alongside your legal team
Many families come through collaborative divorce, mediation or family court. Diana has completed interdisciplinary collaborative divorce training through IACP and builds working relationships with family law professionals across South Palm Beach County. Her doctoral research at Nova Southeastern University focuses on the lived experience of court-involved co-parents.
Attorneys and mediators are welcome to refer clients. Co-parenting counseling is a therapeutic service, not a custody evaluation.
